Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 7, 2026.
Site: https://hexascholar.com (the "Site"). The Site is operated by a business registered in the Republic of Korea ("we"). Contact: [email protected]
This policy describes what personal information the Site handles, including the advertising that pays for it. The Site does not offer accounts or sign-up yet. We will update this policy before accounts are introduced.
What we collect
Server logs. When your browser loads a page, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, receives your IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser's user agent, and the referring page if your browser sends it. Cloudflare processes this information to deliver the Site and to protect it from abuse. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.
Data stored in your browser. The pages save your progress in your browser's localStorage, under keys that start with "mm:". For each "Predict first" question they save which option you picked. For each practice problem they save whether you solved it on your own or with help. The numbers you type into the figures and problems are not saved. If you use the light/dark switch, your choice is saved under the key "hs-theme". This data stays on your device, and we do not receive it. You can delete it in your browser settings. Clearing it resets your progress.
Email you send us. If you email us, for example to report an error, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it to reply and to fix the problem. If you report an error, we may publish the correction. We do not publish your name or email address unless you ask us to credit you.
Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. When a page loads, a small script from Cloudflare (static.cloudflareinsights.com) reports the page address, the referring page, your browser and device type, your country (derived by Cloudflare from your IP address), and page-load timings. Cloudflare states that it does not set cookies or use fingerprinting to track you across sites. We see only totals, not individual visitors.
Advertising. The Site shows ads served by Google AdSense. When a page with ads loads, your browser sends Google your IP address, the page address, information about your browser and device, and any Google cookie identifiers already stored in your browser. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet. Google and its partners also use cookies and similar storage to measure ads, to limit how often you see the same ad, and to detect fraud. Google explains how it uses this information in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. We do not receive information from Google that identifies you. We see only reports with totals, such as the number of ad views on each page.
Your advertising choices
You can turn off personalized ads from Google at Google's Ads Settings. You can opt out of personalized ads from many other vendors at www.aboutads.info. If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will not be based on your interests or your visits to other sites.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland. If you visit from these regions, a consent message asks for your choices before cookies are used for advertising. The message comes from Google's consent management platform, which is certified by Google and uses the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (CMP ID 300). Personalized ads are shown only if you agree. If you do not agree, Google may show limited ads that are not personalized. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the "Privacy and cookie settings" link on pages with ads. For advertising we rely on your consent. For server logs and analytics we rely on our legitimate interest in running the Site and keeping it secure. You may complain to the data protection authority where you live.
United States. Some U.S. states give residents the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or of targeted advertising. Personalized ads from Google may count as "sharing" under those laws. Where they apply, use the "Do not sell or share my personal information" link on pages with ads. Your choice is passed to Google, which then shows only ads that are not personalized. We do not sell personal information for money.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for your name, address, or date of birth. We do not sell personal information for money. We do not add advertising or marketing trackers of our own beyond the Google advertising described above.
Third parties on the Site
The fonts and the math rendering library are served from the Site itself. Other requests your browser makes go to:
- Cloudflare, our hosting provider, for the pages themselves and for Cloudflare Web Analytics.
- Google, for ads and for the consent message. Ads are loaded from Google domains such as googlesyndication.com and doubleclick.net, and some ads are shown in frames from the advertiser's or Google's servers.
Cloudflare and Google may process data in the United States and other countries.
Cookies
The Site's own pages do not set cookies. On pages with ads, Google sets cookies and uses similar browser storage to serve and measure ads and to remember your consent choices. Google lists the cookies it uses in How Google uses cookies. This Privacy Policy page and the Terms of Use page do not show ads.
Children
The Site is written for university students and other adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, such as by email, write to [email protected] and we will delete it. We do not target marketing to people under 18.
How long we keep data
- Server logs: kept by Cloudflare under its own retention policy and not used by us beyond operating the Site.
- Email correspondence: kept in the Site's mailbox while we handle your message.
- Advertising data: kept by Google under its own policy, described in How Google retains data we collect. We do not keep a copy.
- Consent choices: stored in a cookie in your browser until it expires or you delete it.
- Browser storage for your progress: on your device until you delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can delete browser data and cookies at any time, and you can change your advertising choices as described above. You can ask us what email correspondence we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to its use. Write to [email protected]. We will reply to your request by email. For data that Google holds, use the tools Google provides in your Google account or at Ads Settings.
Security
The Site is delivered over HTTPS, and we keep the amount of data we hold small.
Changes
We will post changes on this page and update the date at the top. If a change affects what we collect, we will say so at the top of the page.
